01What Dayfarer provides
Dayfarer reads step count and walking or running distance from Apple Health with your permission. It uses that information on your iPhone to show daily progress, goals, streaks, medals, virtual Journeys, Postcards, and Passport Stamps.
Dayfarer’s Journeys are virtual experiences inspired by real places. They are not maps, route guidance, travel advice, emergency information, or evidence that a real trail is open or safe. Dayfarer is not a medical or fitness-treatment service. Use your own judgment and follow local guidance when walking or travelling.
02Free and Pro access
The core Dayfarer experience and the complete Camino Journey remain available without a subscription. Dayfarer Pro provides access to the additional Pro Journey catalog shown in the app while the subscription is active. Postcards and Passport Stamps that you already earned remain visible after Pro access ends.
Dayfarer Pro is offered through Apple as Annual and Monthly auto-renewable subscriptions. The price, currency, billing period, introductory-offer eligibility, and charge timing shown in Apple’s purchase sheet are authoritative.
- Annual may include a 14-day free introductory offer only when Apple confirms that the Apple Account is eligible.
- Monthly has no introductory free trial.
- Subscriptions renew automatically unless they are cancelled through the Apple Account subscription controls. Cancellation does not normally end access before the current paid or trial period ends.
- Apple processes payments, renewals, cancellations, and refund requests. Dayfarer does not collect payment-card details.
Restore Purchases restores eligible subscription access from Apple. It does not restore Journey, Postcard, Passport Stamp, Medal, goal, or Progress history that was deleted from this iPhone.
03Local data and permissions
Dayfarer has no Dayfarer account, cloud backup, or cross-device history sync. Product history is stored locally on the iPhone. Deleting the app removes that local app data; restoring a subscription does not recreate it.
Apple Health and notification access are optional and can be changed in iOS Settings. If required data or a service is unavailable, Dayfarer may show an unavailable or checking state rather than confirmed progress.
Dayfarer’s handling of information is described in the Dayfarer Privacy Policy. Apple and RevenueCat also process subscription information under their own terms and policies.
04Acceptable use
You may use Dayfarer for personal, non-commercial use as permitted by these Terms and Apple’s applicable terms. You must not attempt to interfere with the app, bypass subscription access controls, extract or redistribute Dayfarer content or artwork, or use the app unlawfully.
05Content and intellectual property
Dayfarer, including its software, writing, illustrations, Postcards, Passport Stamp art, visual design, and branding, is owned by the developer or used with permission. These Terms do not transfer ownership of that material or grant permission to copy, sell, publish, or create derivative commercial products from it.
References to real routes, places, and organizations are descriptive. Dayfarer is not affiliated with or endorsed by trail stewards, tourism authorities, credential programs, or other organizations unless the app explicitly says otherwise.
06Availability and changes
Dayfarer may be updated to correct errors, preserve compatibility, improve the experience, or reflect legal and platform requirements. Particular functions may be temporarily unavailable because of Apple Health permissions, device state, network conditions, Apple services, RevenueCat, or maintenance.
Dayfarer does not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or remedies that cannot be excluded under applicable consumer law.
07Responsibility
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the developer is not responsible for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of Dayfarer, reliance on a virtual Journey as real-world guidance, loss of local-only app history, or the unavailability of third-party services. This limitation does not apply where the law does not permit it.
08Ending use
You may stop using Dayfarer at any time. Removing the app does not automatically cancel an Apple subscription; subscriptions must be managed through the Apple Account subscription controls.
Access may be restricted when required to protect the app, comply with law, address misuse, or enforce these Terms. Earned local content remains subject to the app’s local-storage limits described above.
09Changes to these Terms
If these Terms materially change, the updated text and effective date will be published before the changed terms apply. Continued use after an applicable update may constitute acceptance where permitted by law.
